Flowers
Malika’s first love is nature and greenery. Surrounding herself with beautiful plants and flowers, Malika spends a lot of time in her garden and is inspired by her flowers and plants from around the world. Malika likes to think in color and believes in Artist Renoir’s words when he says “Why shouldn’t Art be pretty? There are enough unpleasant things in the world” Malika constructs her beautiful flowers purely by means of color. Malika wants her work to have rhythm, bold colors and sweeping gestural brushstrokes. Malika’s paintings aim to bring alive the flowers and express something personal and emotional in a poetic yet abstract way.
